WHERE HAVE I BEEN?!

At camp. This is the best answer I can provide. Here is the life update: Stephen and I have both left our Mid-Michigan jobs and made the move to the Detroit area. I am working overly-full time at Spring Hill Day Camps in the Detroit area and it is awesome! Stephen is doing some landscaping work for a family friend and we are pretty much thinking full-time about what to do at the end of the summer...

This is the big question. What are we doing at the end of the summer? Our standard answer to each other has been "I don't know, I love you." But as of late it has changed a bit... we have begun making some hard and fast decisions about where we want to live and what we need to do to pursue what is best for us. Basically, we are still planning on leaving it entirely up to God by saying we WILL move to Florida in September if I do not get a job with Spring Hill full time. That being said, there is no job budgeted for Day Camps right now so the likelihood of Florida being the answer is much greater than staying in the Detroit area. Truly, we want to stay in the Detroit area for one more year, build up some stability, and potentially move down at the end of NEXT summer, but maybe God just wants us to leap and have no stability. This is our constant prayer and discussion so feel free to pray for us as well! What we do know is that we do not  want to stay in the Detroit area to do jobs that we hate for another year...

So anyway, other than we are loving living in a "normal" town and living near my parents pool.... the month and a half or so that we spent apart was really tough but we made it through and I do believe it was an important experience for us to have as a couple and I am now thankful for it now that it is over... aaaaand that was a really long fun-on sentence. Don't judge me. But camp has five weeks left and I plan on enjoying every minute of it! Hopefully I will be less neglectful of this particular blog as I found out that people other than my mom actually read it! (Thanks Amy!) So for now, over and out!
